THIS SILVER COIN IS FROM THE DUTCH EAST INDIAMAN "VLIEGENTHART(FLYING
HART)"
The certificate of origin states that the coin was recovered from the wreck of the
"VLIEGENTHART(Flying Hart)" which sank with the loss of all hands off the coast
of New Zealand on her voyage from Holland to Batavia in the East Indies on 3rd February
1735. Each coin has been examined and catalogued by the National Museum The Royal Coin
Cabinet in Leyden, Holland No TC 921205 - TC denotes that it is a gold or silver coin.GBP
